The word “banking” is not only time consuming but involves lot of involvement – Yes, right from opening the account to getting all sorts of things like debit card, cheque book and even the user id along with the password of your best buddy – “The Revolutionary Internet Banking“. No, wonder the very term “Banking” not just bring heaps of tension but involves lot of work, making it a tedious part of every person. However, breaking the stereotype comes the Kotak Jifi - The 21st Century digital account with unparallelled benefits, making banking not just fun, but Hassle free.

Here are the reasons, one by one – Why Banking with Kotak Jifi Is Fun & Hassle Free -

1. Because You Can Open Your Account Without Going to the Bank

oh-yes-kotak-jifi-account

When I signed up for Kotak Jifi account and filled the form online to open my account, all I did was filled the form. And guess what, my job was done because, soon, I got a call from the executive and a date was fixed. On the decided date and time, the Kotak executive reached my place and collected the required documents. And then what? My account was opened right from the comfort of my home. Yes, when you choose Kotak Jifi, collecting the documents in the Mumbai monsoon became the Bank’s headache, not yours. No wonder, this step itself makes it a winner as it values its customer’s time.

Sharing is caring, isn’t it? But, what if sharing can earn you some brownie points which can convert into money? Sounds fun, well, that’s precisely what Kotak Jifi does – Every successful referral  earns you 100 points. What’s more? even if you share it with your Facebook friend, you earn 10 points from each friend. So, if you have 300 friends in your list, you get 300 x 10 = 3000 points. Bingo!!!

Let me tell you with only 50 points I could get Rs. 300 of on domestic flight while booking through MakeMyTrip. Now, isn’t it exciting, fun and also pocket friendly? In addition, the offer is till December, 2014 so even you can get it if you choose KOTAK JIFI now. 4. Kotak Jifi Is Just A Tweet Away!

While, in all your traditional accounts you have to go to your home branch for all sort of enquiries including questioning when shall you receive cheque books, debit card etc. Here at Kotak Jifi, all you have to do is just put a status with #JifiStatus and everything related to your bank and query is DM’ed you. What’s more you can even tweet a cheque book request by a simple tweet. Now, doesn’t that make you feel modern and contemporary? I’m sure it surely does!

5. No Minimum Balance Required

Oh yes, with zero balance in your account, you can actually keep and maintain a Kotak Jifi account forever. No jhanjhat at all of the minimum balance thing. It surely relaxes many of the people like me. who hardly has anything left in the account during the month ends.

6. Platinum Debit Card

With Kotak Jifi, Banking just got social, however, the bank doesn’t deprive you from the debit card which is now one of the basic things of any living being. So, with Jifi Platinum Debit card you cannot only shop for Rs. 2 lakh but even withdraw Rs. 2 lakhs from your account. What’s more, the card comes with few complimentary insurances. “COMPLIMENTARY” & “FREE” are two of my favorite words :)

7. Wherever You Go Kotak Jifi Travels With You

kotak-jifi-social-bank-account

Normally, the moment you are out of your town or city, your banking comes to a hault, however, with social bank like Kotak Jifi you can not only order your things to be done through Twitter, but use the kotak Apps for paying bills and doing majority of things. Once, I remembered the last date of paying my credit card bill while trekking. Back then, I could only pay through ATMs. so I couldn’t pay it on time, and you know I had to pay a heavy penalty. But, with customized mobile apps on phone, I’m sure such last minute stuff won’t be a problem.

5 Things That Add Zest In My Life

$
0
0

Life for me, is all about getting up in the morning, doing the routine chores, going to work, coming back home and then sleep. But then there are things that stop this mundane routine and add, that required and much necessary zest in my life. Strange but true, I get all the enthusiasm and energy by these super zesty things that transform my world from dull and boring, to interesting and fun. Not to forget, they even add the much needed pace in my life. Here they are:

1. The Technology

Oh, what my life would have been without the mercy of technology – Absolutely nothing! Every thing from my smart phone to smart watch, kindle, electric cooker, coffee maker and the small machine that checks the level of sugar in my body contributes in my smartness. For instance, just imagine with zero experience in web designing and SEO, what kind of blogger I had been without WordPress? Perhaps I would have not started blogging. Oops!

Technology

Besides, had there been no smart phone, I still would need my camera, barcode scanner, and many ancillary things to carry every time I moved from my home to office. It is true without these technology, I would not die and would still survive, but don’t you think it would have been very dull and boring, taking half of my day in doing something which now requires only 5 minutes? Now that even reminds me of NEFT and India’s first 1.2 Litre MPFi Turbocharged petrol engine in Tata Motors Car – Zest and Bolt.

2. The Downfall In My Life

Believe it or not, every time I failed, I was determined to do something better. My failure never became my weakness but my strength to do bigger and better. Like a true realist and optimist, my downfall only increased my potential and doubled my zest. Though I am not much found of failures, but trust me downfall in life often give you that energy and enthusiasm which success isn’t aware of.

failure

So while success attracts many good things, failure actually gives you the path to achieve success. For instance, had Paulo Coelho’s first book, Hell Archives would not not have failed, he would have not given us great books like Alchemist. Perhaps, he would have been just another writer. The failure of his first book gave him immense zest to write much better and so we had the revolutionary Alchemist.

3. The Quest For More

I am never satisfied – I always need more – More Knowledge, More Money, More Technology, Better Life, Better Car, Better Health Equipment for my Parents, so on and so forth. And I think, if something that really adds up the zest in my life is the quest for more, the hunger for perfection and the thrill to look beyond the latest to the next. Oh yes, latest is not new, “NEXT” is!

quest

4. Travel and Adventure

Sitting in my office, working, dreaming about all the good things, trying to achieve all I want – yes, that encourages me, energizes me! In addition, comes the two word – “Travel” and “Adventure”. All you have to utter these two words and see how the eyes roll, the body jumps and the genuine smile races up on the face.

travel

Yes, wandering like a traveler, risking your life for an adventure, planning a trip to an offbeat place, instantly adds zest in my life. All, you need to say is “Deepti, let’s go to GOA” and see how I do a mini bungee jumping from my couch on to the floor, no matter how gloomy I may be few minutes ago, I’ll be giggling thereafter!

5. The Love of My Life – My Boyfriend!

Love is not life, but just a part of your life they say – True! And what if that special part adds value to your life, compliments you, and is the better half of you? Sounds fun? Well, my boyfriend is precisely that special part who adds zest in my life – sometime by his simple gestures, his encouragements and motivation when nothing can beat my negativity, and sometimes simply through his existence!

giphy

And yea the funny fights. Strange but some times his “No’s” actually activates my brain to do something, eventually making me realize his “No” was only to make me say “Yes” and try beyond my capacity to achieve things!

21st century brought a revolution in almost each and everything around us. Telephones were replaced by cellular phones, computers were superseded by laptops, TV sets were exchanged for LCDs/LEDs and media became social media. However, one thing that remained same was “Banking” where revolution came in the form of Internet Banking and few things but it couldn’t revolutionize completely.

Wait a minute, Banking just got social. Check out here how my social media fanatic young cousin introduced the new age Banking to me and our Grandfather:

Dadaji – He should be here soon!

Me – Okay, dadaji, let me brief you about the REVOLUTIONARY KOTAK JIFI BANK ACCOUNT!

kotak-jifi-form

Once you fill the form, you get a call from the executive and they come to collect the documents to open your account. Yes, it is as simple as that. Meanwhile, if you want to connect with them, they are a tweet away

Dadaji: “Oh, wonderful!” this is really simple! I must appreciate the young bud knows more than us!

Dadiji: Didn’t I tell you my Chintu is the best?

Dadaji: Oh Ho, you just can’t stop boasting about your favorite grand child, can you?

Me: Dadi, one of the key features of this bank is something which you are looking from along. You always wanted to have a “NO MINIMUM BALANCE” account in private bank, don’t you?

Well, now with KOTAK JIFI account you can have that privilege – Isn’t that a sone pe suhaga thing?

“And one of the best feature of this bank is…..” Chintu came from the kitchen slurping kheer from his mouth

“Is what?” Dadaji asked in curiosity.

Chintu: “Well, you earn points through referrals. Every referral earns you 100 points. What’s more, every share with your fb friends earn you 10 points. So, if you have 50 friends in your FB list you can earn 500 points straight.

Dadaji: Aha, time to make some FB friends now ;)

Dadiji: What did you say??? Come again!

Dadaji: Nothing Nothing!

Me: And these points will give you discounts to many things. From online shopping at Jabong, to booking movie tickets on Book My Show and even at Make My Trip :D

Chintu: And best part is that, if you don’t want to spend it, you can always send it to your friends like me who can spend it all :)

Dadaji: You mean the points are transferable?

Me: Oh yes Dadaji, it is!!!

Dadaiji: Now that sounds interesting. Till now, I had never come across something where you could actually transfer points!

Dadiji interrupted,,,,,,

“Beta do they give us any debit card?”

Chintu: Haan Dadi, they give you platinum card along with complimentary insurances. You love insurances, don’t you???

IMG_20140713_180643

Dadaji: That’s really modern banking, I must say where I will get everything by sitting at my own home and without bugging any of my grand children to do my work.

Dadiji: Ah, finally my kids can relax!!!

Dadaji: Tum chup raho…..acha bacho tell me what is Kotak Jifi’s Twitter handle and how can I get my status once I fill the form?

Me: Dadaji, the handle is @KotakJifi and you can get the status of your bank and everything related to your account here at #JifiStatus.

Chintu: Dadaji make sure you download the KOTAK app in your phone so that your bank follows you unlike your old bank where I had to follow everybody.

Dadaji: Agreed Chintu,,,, I think till all these years this is the first thing which you did was really worth appreciating and thanks for introducing this revolutionary banking to an oldie like me. It is really beneficial. I hope all the young generation kids like you both teach their parents and grandparents about social media so that even they take an advantage

My Grandfather is telling me to spread the word and so you too log in to the offcial Kotak Jifi website, fill the form and change the definition of Banking altogether!

BlogAdda’s newest initiative is to #CelebrateBlogging with a series of contests, starting with one called a Game of Blogs. Teams of bloggers take turns creating a round robin story of sorts that they post to their individual blogs.

Read the previous part of the story here.

Though it was half past seven in the morning, there had been no sunrise. Only a change over from a dark black to a greyish sky . Jennifer Joseph looked around at the beauty of the countryside – myriad hues of green and brown, divided by the broken farm bunds.

She blew on her hands trying to bring some life to her fingers. Kashmir was colder than she had imagined. She hadn’t been able to sleep the previous night as she had shivered the whole night in the flooded regions of Srinagar – until she was airlifted by the Army. She was safe—but her constant companion, her better half, the Canon EOS Rebel T1i was destroyed forever!

Being a travel photographer, her camera was as much a part of her as one of her limbs. She’d come all the way from God’s own country to God’s heaven to fulfill her dream of capturing heaven with her lenses – but when the floods turned the heaven into hell, she had refrained from clicking the sad scenario.

Her eyes filled with tears as Jennifer envisioned her presence in Kashmir. Fortunately, Jen was only daydreaming while watching the news.

“Thank you Jesus, for saving me,” she said aloud, kissing her right hand that bore a tattoo of a cross engulfed in red flowers and its green leaves. And my camera, she added, feeling only a little guilty as she thought it.

Jennifer looked up as she heard footsteps on the stairs below her. Looked like her hunky neighbour was back.

Now that Diwali is around the corner, I cannot stop murmuring my favorite Diwali poem which I sang rather shouted with great zeal and enthusiasm

Dhum Dhadaka, Tode Fataka,
Chali Phul Jadiyaan, Todi Saakhiyan,
Deep Jalaye, Mann Ko Bhaye,
Jalebi Laddoo, Khayega Guddu,

This year too the festive season has made me euphoric. No wonder, I’m thrilled, excited, and all set to celebrate #GharWaliDiwali in an awesome style….

The Diwali Mood

You know, I have bought some really bright lights and kandeels to decorate my house. After all, I’ll have to give a tough competition to the bachcha party of my colony when it comes to Diwali decorations. An unofficial war, I hope I win this year. Shhh…..

Soulmate Intimacy : Heal It With A Touch #BringBackTheTouch

Relationships are complicated but there are modifiers to make it simple, easy, fun loving and happy. While a certain gesture can make it worse, a little shared moment can mellow everything. Discover what these gesticulations are that can simply turn you into soul-mates from mates.

Sometimes grand gestures, fireworks and huge spending don’t create that magic, than the obvious that makes the relationship stronger and happier. An authentic connection between the couples, simple shared moments, passionate touch, feelings of trust, closeness, transparency and caressing has tremendous potential in jazzing up their life in a special form, making them more closer and intimate.

You might wonder what are these simple moments? If you think that intimacy is all about sexual arousal and satisfaction, think again. It has more to do with romantic shared moments than sexual connections.

Let us find these simple tricks that can boost your love and make your relationship all the more better and worthwhile –

“Gestures, in love, are incomparably more attractive, effective and valuable than words.” ~ Francois Rabelais

Love – Sometimes the greatest justification that your partner loves you and you are well appreciated is when he or she makes small unexpected gestures. Yes, planning a romantic dinner and a weekend getaway is always valued and cherished. However, buying your wife a heart shaped earring simply because you happened to walk by a store, see it in the display window and know she would love it, will truly create an impression. It’s actually a “no-real-reason” feeling that makes the entire gesture mean so much.

couple-in-love-relationshipSource

“Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do… but how much love we put in that action.” ~ Mother Teresa

Caress - Most of the couples divide their chores. For instance, the wife does the household chores and it is his duty to throw away that trash. But once in a while, when he is really knocked down with all his work and its pressures, instead of nagging him for not observing the spilling over a dustbin, throw it out for him. When you love someone deeply, you pitch in, even if you might not be asked to do so. Little gesticulations to make each other’s life easy makes you remind as to why you put up with her snoring or his stinky feet, in the first place. In addition, giving your mate a break makes him a bit relaxed which makes it easier for you two to appreciate each other’s company.

bring-it-back-with-touchSource

“Action speaks louder than words and expression more than letters.”

Feel – Let’s face it, telling your better half how much she means to you can feel kind of silly or corny. But expressing them in a unique style can bring color to your relationship. Without expressions and feelings, you might risk yourself in falling into “taking each other for granted” syndrome. Now, that doesn’t mean you have to pen down long love letters for emotional emails but small notes like, “I love you” or a “kiss” in the morning, a gentle touch while going out for office.

tumblr_l4lxhvQQlU1qbm8tgo1_500Source

Our smile will always be one of my favorite things like backward barbecue’s and front porch swings and evening breezes through window screens ~ Josh Turner

Discover – Trying to do something just for the sake of your spouse make them feel on top of the world. For instance, if you attend her nephew’s birthday party although you are not that social person to indulge these activities, she is ought to love you for this. Similarly, if you are too tired yet you indulge in sex because you know he would love it, will make him really happy. Sometimes saying “yes” for your usual “no” can lead to that intimate pleasure which has no comparison.

Let these romantic touch build up your chemistry and sizzle your intimacy. All ready to #BringBackTheTouch?

We, the People Can Make India Clean and Green – Join the Conversation – #AbMontuBolega

For every other thing, we Indians, blame government. If there is violence, we blame goverrnment, if there is corruption, we blame government. Worst, even, if we pass through a filthy road, we blame government.

Why? Because we expect government to correct our wrongdoings. For instance, we, the people won’t think  twice before throwing a wrapper, garbage or any other waste on road. However, when the one-two wrapper and waste accumulates and becomes a pile of trash, we quickly blame the local civic body or sometimes even the government at the centre.

My question is how can one blame the Government for something for which we and only we are responsible?

Agreed, the government has to take corrective action for each and every wrong things which we do, like creating a pile of garbage. But, ever, wondered, what if we do not create a mess, in the first place? What if, instead of complaining later, we stop throwing  unnecessary waste outside.

We Indians, can apply the Japanese model, can’t we?

Now, what is Japanese Model?

Well, if you remember, during the football World Cup 2014 in Brazil, images of Japanese went viral where young Japanese were seen picking up all the trash in the stadium after the game was over. The trash included empty bottles, chips wrappers ad all sort of things which we normallly eat and drink in stadium or movie theatre. This is precisely Japanese model, where a young child  from his initial days in school, is taught to be a crusader of cleanliness. Since, each and everyone is a crusader of Anti-Garbage, Japan is one of the  cleanest country in the world.

Now, can you credit the Japanese Government for their accomplishment?

Well, it is the people of Japan, who actually deserves a pat on their back. Similarly, if there is filth around India, government, alone is not to be blamed. We, the people are also responsible for the same. And, if we, become responsible citizens, first, by not throwiing and creating a mess, and next by requesting/urging/educating the others, I’m  sure, India will no more be a dirty India like it is infamous all over the world.

Swachh Bharat Campaign

Swachh Bharat Campaign initiated by our PM is a noble idea, however, it cannot be a successful campaign until each one of us join the campaign physically and mentally. Campaign is just a start, it can only be successful, if we make the campaign our habit. Though I’m not a cleanliness freak, I’ve always kept my trash, either in my school bag or in my hand bag, later. However, there are many, who are cleanliness freak inside their home, but don’t think twice before throwing garbage on the road.

I raise my voice against these people – The Pseudo Cleanliness Freak, who keep their house clean but not their environment or surrounding.

I have been a silent spectator of their actions from ages but not anymore. I vow that I will continue to keep my surrounding clean, and at the same time educate others to do the same – Kyunki Bin Bole Ab Nahi Chalega as the New Strepsils Campaign says!

Yes, the Strepsils Campaign #AbMontuBolega – What’s the campaign about?

Strepsils campaign #AbMontuBolega is a unique digital campaign, where individuals are asked to express and raise their voice on any and every issue of which they have been silent spectators from so long. The mascot Montu is a live example, who remains a silent spectator always, until, he raises his voice, and to his surprise, he is not bashed, but heard!

The objective of the campaign is to build awareness, and create a awareness amongst the people to raise awareness on various subjects including Enviornment, Infrastructure, Women Empowerment, Women Safety, Education, Sanitation and many more things.

Ever since I saw the movie ‘The Holiday’ starring Cameron Diaz and Kate Winselet, I too thought of sharing a large home in other part of the country/globe. Like a beautiful cottage in a village , a castle in a historic town, a luxury home in one of the most happening place of the world or maybe a gorgeous little home in one of the most isolated place. While, I was still wondering about my wish, I got an invitation to the website Airbnb from my friend Ankit Jain.

Logging in to the website, I realized, the website is just like what I have been thinking from years. Yes, I too can stay in other part of the world in a home like I want, at an affordable price, of course less than all those rates of a hotel. To my surprise, prices of a beautiful cottage in France is less than hotel prices in Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Kerala and so many other places in India.

No wonder, Airbnb compelled me to make ‘My Wishlist‘. Here they are one by one as per by budget:

Rise Above Fear to Claim Victory!

$

Fear is something from which we all suffer. In fact, it is the biggest hindrance to all our victories, whether it is at personal level or professional level. But, until you rise above fear, you can never claim the real victory. For instance, just taking risk in an adventure. You know how rewarding the experience is, if you take risk and go down a alley of adventure!

Today, I’ll share my personal story on how I could rise above fear by listening to my heart, to claim victory in life. Yes! you heard it right!

I’m a blogger, a full time freelance writer today, but few years ago I was a human machine working in an Indian conglomerate. My day revolved around me, working as a machine round the clock. Yes, getting up in the morning, running to catch the train, making sure I reach on time, working in the office, trying to do something which my heart didn’t allow and ultimately returning home like a loser. Yes, I felt like a loser!

I always thought what I’m doing isn’t right, because, I was dodging my real self, I wasn’t following my heart but the so called rat race until I realized that this is not what I have to do, This is certainly not what I should be doing.

Then, what is the one thing I should be doing? Well, I didn’t know back then, where and what I should do, but I knew for sure, the mechanic me, is not my real self. This really needs a stop.

However, there was a constant fear in my mind. What if I leave this? What if I have no money? What if my friends go ahead, and  I’m left behind? You know the usual stuff until I risked myself and trying to hear the call of my heart.

Obviously I struggled hard, but, then I began writing, blogging, and today as a freelance writer, I earn more than what I used to earn before. In addition, my new love gave me an opportunity to be a solo Traveler, something which I only dreamt, butnever risked in real life.

As a solo Traveler, I have been traveling and enjoying life the way I should have been few years ago. But I have no qualms. Had I not risked then, I would have still working like a mechanic in a cubicle like any other corporate employee.Well, I don’t have anything against it. But, well, that was certainly not my cup of tea.

When I left my job, and had no clue what I would be doing next, friends and even some of the family members acted weird. but, then, nothing big in life comes until you take a risk. Rising above risk is only the first step towards achievement. Then whether, the risk is in in career, or a small matter, you have to take risk!

This post is written for the campaign Rise Above Fear initiated by Mountain Dew.As rightly Said by Mountain Dew, “Kyunki Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai!”

Pre-Marital Sex Is Not Immoral Says Ancient India

$
0
0

Earlier this year, a Delhi court labelled ‘Pre-Marital Sex’ as immoral further adding that it is against the ‘tenets of every religion.’ The court also said, “No religon in the world allows pre-martial sex. While the Indian court straightforwardly tagged pre-marital sexual intercourse as unethical, I wonder why did it miss the basic Vedic literature of Ancient India, which not just had any objection on this conception, but also favored a relationship based out of ‘only love.’

Kama_Sutra_Khajuraho_SculptureSource

Pre-marital sex in modern day world is highly thought of as a ‘sinful’, ‘wrongful’, ‘impure’, ‘shameful’ and ‘dishonourable’ act. However, let me tell you it is just a modern day philosophy! In fact, ancient Hindus would have found such a judgement or perception as ‘alien.’ Yes, Pre-marital Sex is not at all wrong, impure or sinful as it is highlighted.

Besides, how can something be wrong and sinful when it is based out of love and is purely consensual? Not convinced? Well, then lets dig into some of the many rationale to support my stand for ‘Pre-marital Sex!’

Many People are of the Opinion that Sex before Marriage is Wrong  – Mainly Because they assume It is Against the Religion!

In Hinduism, there are 8 types of marrriages and out of those eight, one is ‘Gandharva Vivaah’ – A marriage purely based on mutual attraction which was highly practiced in Ancient India. In this type of marriage, a woman selected her own partner. They then consensually decided to stay together and it was sensual passion that consummated their relationship. Mind you, Gandharava Vivaah neither needed any parental consent nor any approval from the so called society. And if you scroll the pages of Kamasutra or Adi Parva in Mahabharat, you’ll find that ‘Gandharva Parva’ is the most promiment of all forms of marriage.

dushyant-shakuntala-rameshwar-dhomneSource

Poonaam Uppal’s Book – ‘A Passionaate Gospel of True Love : A Mystical True Love Story‘ too gets the chord correct as she rightly quotes ‘True Love as the only Religion of the Future!’

What is Morality and Promiscuity – Lets Give it a Thought Once Again!

If you read the renowned neuroscientist Sam Hariss’ book ‘The Moral Landscape: How Science Can Determine Human Values’ where he tries to draw a third path between religionists (who believe that morality is given by the supreme God along with the scriptures), and secularists (who say morality is highly subjective), you’ll see that, he rightly defines Morality scientifically and measures it as a function of neuroscience and evolution.

pre-marital-sex-is-not-immoralSource

Ultimately, concluding in very simple language – “A behavior or an act is moral if it amplifies collective bliss and immoral if it attempts to minimize the felicity.” Now, intimacy before marriage, neither diminished happiness in the past nor it does today (because it is consensual) so how can it be termed as immoral?

Claiming Pre-Marital Lovemaking as Wrong – Viewpoint of the Misogynst World?

Women are the better halves of Men, however, right from the medieval times women were oppressed and people even commoditized them. In fact, it was thought (which is still applicable) that a woman who indulges into pre-marital sex is out of patriarchal control, and she should be immediately punished – at times people even boycotting her. No wonder, the prejudiced minds irrationaly declines feminine sexuality as they fear sexual expressions of females.

istock-male-female-signsSmall1Source

To be honest, this misogynist thinking is actually immoral which denies natural exploration of one’s sexuality.

How can men obstruct something which is natural, who are they to restrict someone’s happiness? Isn’t sexual indulgence a significant feature of human life? Who are these men, people or society to shun the natural feelings of a human being? Who are these people to term ‘immoral’ to something which is so ‘natural’ and ‘intrinsic’?

Do you still think Pre-marital sex is wrong? Do put your thoughts ]and let’s continue the conversation from there.

Also, do not miss reading “A Passionaate Gospel of True Love : A Mystical True Love Story” by Poonaam Uppal where she rightly highlights the essence of True Love.

Discovering A New Me in 2015 – Because I Can!

$

Journalism and Photography are two things which I’m highly interested in. Though I’m a writer and I’m writing a lot these days, I’m lost  somewhere in the world of ‘Trending Articles’ where I write only on the basis of what’s hot and what has the potential to sell.

stop-writingSource

Somewhere down the line, I have forgotten that writing was once my passion – A way to express myself, to express what’s right and wrong, a medium which gave happiness to me no matter who frustrated – I would be.

My first resolution this year is to be a writer I once was. I really plan to write stuffs that interest me, stuff that brings happiness to me, and stuff that I want to write – Rather than stuff that my boss wants me to write.

So, basically, 2015 should start with a bang where I’m a writer for me, and myself.

Besides, writing if something I like is Travelling and Photography. Off late, since I’m giving too much importance to work, I’m missing all the fun. Neither am I travelling much nor I’m clicking the pics of those beautiful places I once travelled.

So starting from 2015, I shout out out loud that Traveling and photography is something I’m going to follow religiously.

Besides, Now that I have a Tab in hand – Micromax Canvas Tab P666 with great camera, screen resolution, and lightning speed, the device is not going to stop me from any future hindrances. After all, a true gadget is a true friend of a dreamer. Needless to say, a device actually makes its owner run their dreams and passion –  Then whether it is a Mobile Phone with Great Camera, or a Laptop, Sports Car or a Video Game!

So the Canvas Tab of Micromax will not just help me to take photographs but also help me to write on it. Browsing is fun and easy. I can quickly download Word doc from Google Play and get going without depending on my laptop.

No wonder my Tab has an Intel processor, hyper threading technology for smooth multitasking, burst performance technology and 1 gb RAM.

Besides, I can research a lot of things on Tab and also read lot of books before I start writing. And yes, multi tasking is easy too. Moreover, it doesn’t consume much battery.

These Three Passion – Writing, Photography, and Travelling are something that I wish to rediscover in the coming year. Although New Year resolutions often break but, this year, I’m not going to do so. I have already set a reminder which keeps reminding me my new year resolution. I’m going to stick to my Resolution this year.

How about you? Are you set to rediscover your passion like me?

This post is written for Micromax Canvas Contest in association with Indiblogger.

Know How Garnier Pure ACTIVE Neem Face Wash Can Help You From Pimples and Pimple Marks!

Who has been spared by Pimples and the sleepless night thereafter? Neither the VIPs like Miley Cyrus,

Miley-Cyrus-pimples

nor an abla naari like me or any girl across the world. No wonder, every time when we look at the mirror in between the menstrual cramps, bloating, and moodiness, we get to witness a dirty red pimple on our beautiful face almost after every 28 days. To be honest, we don’t fear the pimples, but the marks that mar the beauty of the face.

Yes, the first and major problem faced by everyone from Pimples is the Unwanted Marks.

As rightly quoted by my friend Rajjo from Lalgunj, UP –

SONAKSHI-SINHA-GARNIER-AACTIVE-AD

Now, the problem of pimples is not just associated with the fairer sex, but the darker sex as well. My friend Raj was rejected by his potential father-in-law only because his face was full of pimples. Yes, white heads as well due to his oily face!

Yes,

The Second Major Problem Faced Due to Pimples majorly is Rejection – (Dating, Matrimonial etc etc etc)

After all, who would like to give his daughter’s hand to a guy whose face looks like a frying pan. Clearly indicates, the guy who cannot take care of acnes, can never take care of my daughter.

pimples-srk-cartoon-ddlj-crop

It isn’t easy for the person who rejects as well – Nobody wants to see a face full of acnes. It not just mars the attractiveness, but also makes the person look unhygienic.

Here’s what one of my friend had to say who went on a blind date only to meet his date full of pimples. You might wonder who would reject anybody due to acnes, but forums across the Internet tells you that hundreds of both guys/girls reject girls/guys with problems of acnes.

shah-rukh-khan-garnier-pure-active-ad

Rejection is Directly proportional to Depression

Not many people are comfortable to go out with pimples on their face – Then whether it is an interview, date or a party. The problem is not just pimples, but the loss of confidence due to pimples.

amitabh-bachchan-with-pimples

Then the School, College and Even the Public Faces are Scared of Being Teased

Pimples on the face often bring lot of unwanted attention. Girls in the school, colleges are teased often.

teenager-with-pimple

Even the darogas are not spared these days, a daroga from Rajjo’s village named Chulbul Pandey is now teased as Pimple Pandey for obvious reasons.

pimple-pandey-salman-khan-garnier-pure-active

Being a person with lot of tension, I think Pandey ji is suffering from pimple because of stress. Also, he is out most of the time, so dust accumulates his face 24×7, attracting all sorts of bacteria

Now, like millions of Indians if you too are wondering Pimple Pe Pimple, Pimple Pe Pimple with Puss, and Cysts….

Thanks to Indiblogger and Asus, I won a Asus Zenfone 5 in a Blogging contest, and trust me it is the best gift/prize I have ever received. It won’t be an exaggeration if I say I’m in love with my phone and it has become one of the important and integral part of my life.

asus-zenfone-5-review

Here I’ll tell you why My Asus Zenfone is my new love and why it is my ideal Valentine

The PixelMaster in Him has bowled me over, and so here I’ll only concentrate on him being a PixelMaster

The Beauty Mode in Him Makes Sure I’m Happy All The Time

The camera of my Asus Zenfone 5 has some unique feature which makes my day, especially the “Thin Cheek” option in the Beauty mode where my face gets the perfect shape. Besides, the “Big Eye” option not just highlights my eyes beautifully, but also make them stand out. No matter where I’m or what is the condition of my face, the beauty mode adjusts my look in real time, softens the complexion and even remove the blemishes on my skin – Giving me the perfect Display pictures for my various social media accounts.

beauty-mode-asus-zenfone-5

The Selfie Mode in Him Knows Exactly What I Need

Unlike the real man who are clueless half of the time wondering “what women want”, My Asus Zenfone is spot on when it comes to my requirements. For instance, he’ll just ask me the number of people in a shot when I’m clicking a group selfie, and then will detect all the faces and give us the best group selfie. No, it doesn’t miss anybody but automatically takes a spurt of 3 pictures to give us the best click.

The Smart Remove in Him Knows the Importance of Private Moments

With Asus Zenfone as my Valentine, I’m  sure that none of my precious moments will be ruined again. Yes, the smart remove feature in him not just keeps away the unwanted objects, but also removes them. This means never ever a stranger can spoil your precious moments. Yes, he understands the importance of private and priceless moments with the loved ones and never allows a third person to ruin it.

He Is Full of Life and Makes Sure I’m Active All The Time

My Asus Zenfone 5 is energetic, enthusiastic and full of life. The GIF Animation mode in him brings anything and anybody to life. No more poised faces or still objects. He just doesn’t like me being stationary. So, he makes sure I’m active all the time through this exciting in-built GIF animation mode. Here’s his love for mother nature. Yes, he’s social too!

Every day when I move from my home, I have a visual journey of many things – some good, some not so pleasing things, but each of my peeps bring valuable lessons.

Here I’ll share some Look Up stories. These stories not only gave me courage to look up in life, but also the much needed strength to be optimistic about various things.

Look Up Story 1 – The Little Girl Who Sells the Rose at the Traffic Signal

Have you seen the little kids who sell things like rose, or any kind of flower on the traffic signal? No matter whatever your answer is, no matter how curtly you tell them you won’t buy their flowers, they move on to their next client with the same smile and enthusiasm. Not once, not twice but “n” number of times they are rejected on daily basis, yet they are never disappointed. They do not take rejection as defeat, but try to sell the product to the next client without showing even a slight irritation on their face.

I meet one such girl on a daily basis. This little girl not just moves from one car to another with her flowers, but also with her communicable smile – giving me courage to face rejection. Yes, the girl, motivates me to live my life happily without worrying about getting rejected.

Look Up Story 2 – The Little Girl Who Wanted A Tattooed Crown on Her Head

Once when I was in cruise, I met a little girl with her fully shaved head. The girl wanted a tattoo representing a crown on her head. Yes, she wanted to look like a princess. When she was getting tattooed, the happiness on her face was something which I cannot describe. Her million dollar smile is something that cherishes me every time i think i’m the most unlucky person in this world.

Later, I got to know that the girl had Blood Cancer, and the loss of hair was due to chemotherapy. She was on the cruise due to “Make A Wish Foundation” where she was living her dream on a cruise and having her crown tattooed. This little girl who knew how to cherish every moment of life without complaining not only gave me hope, but also made me #lookup to life with great optimism. Yes, her courageous smile made me optimistic.

Look Up Story 3 – My Friend Who Failed Thrice to set up his own Biz

Many people believe that only success stories can inspire and motivate them, these people royally choose to ignore the hard work of the people who failed. For me, more than successful people, it is my failed friend who inspires me – The reason? Well, he failed thrice to start his own venture, end up failing very badly, yet did not leave his dream. Yes, he failed thrice and is on his fourth try.

His Fourth try is on the verge of success. Some of my friends are saying he is lucky. But I know luck favors only the hardworking, and those who believe in themselves. No wonder, this friend of mine who failed thrice is my hero. His story is undoubtedly a look up story for me – that story of optimism which tells me – No matter how many times you fail, work hard, till you succeed, and success will definitely hug you one day.

Start A New Life – Chase Your Dreams & Bring The Change

Change is very important aspect for growth and betterment. Then whether it is changing your phone to the latest technology, changing your housing from small to big, changing your lifestyle or changing your attitude towards life – every change is necessary. Nevertheless, change is inevitable!

While, I have many small “changes” that changed my life some way or the other, I would like to share the big change of my life that gave me an opportunity to #StartANewLife, an independent new life which I had only envisioned, but never experienced.

I was a young girl in my 20s from a small village in Tamil Nadu. We weren’t that rich, but I was good in climbing and trekking which made me think that even I can travel, and visit places. I also had a knack of writing, but I wasn’t a good writer like the modern young bloggers you see these days.

My knack of writing and love for trekking, made me think that I too can go to places, be a travel writer. However, who would give the job of a travel writer to a 20 something girl who was not just novice in writing, but had no background of writing at all. No, I’m not talking about recent years where it is not a big deal for a 16 something girl to travel the world and pen down her own blog/book, but my story dates back to two decades now, where being a girl travel writer was not that easy.

Soon, I saw an ad on a local newspaper where they wanted volunteers for trekking, I had only one thing in mind, if only I get through the opportunity – This opportunity could not just give me a chance to earn good, but also to travel places, meet new people, and become a part of this amazing sphere called travel, travelling and travellers.

Call it luck or a combination of luck, and prayers, I got this opportunity to work with a Travel Magazine where I was supposed to trek at various places and pen down my experience. Though the project was only of 2 months, the two months changed my life forever. In addition, these two months became 4 years as I got many projects and I travelled from one city to another on a regular basis. I even started writing my travel experiences, eager to explore my writing skills.

My first stationed place was Bangalore and I was supposed to cover all the nearby hill stations around this beautiful city. Back then, it was not an IT hub, but a small city.

This was the first time I travelled outside my village – Yes, I never had travelled alone outside my village before then. Here, I began my new journey. Travelling solo had its own perils, but it changed my life forever. The change was good because being a girl, I had never witnessed such a freedom before. (Please don’t ask me how my parents agreed for everything, it is a story in itself)

These two months were more of a learning lesson for me as it not only gave me the fun I had always craved, but also the difficulties that I HAD NEVER IMAGINED….Yes, with freedom comes additional responsibility and work. Since, I was not a permanent employee, the turmoil of finding a guest house, staying there and managing things was solely my responsibility, and not the company who gave me such projects.

Though it was difficult, I ENJOYED this meaningful change in my life. I wish during those days we had Internet and apps like housing.com, and my plight would have reduced just by half – just saying!

Today, I’m yet another housemaker who blogs about her family vacations, and mommy problems, but those years of being a Solo Traveler gave me an opportunity to Start a New Life. It was difficult, strange, but worth chasing my dreams…

Like I said, change is inevitable…

No matter how strong or robust you may be, there comes a moment when you become mentally feeble and fragile. This is the time when neither books on self-help works nor lectures in the form of preaching shows any affects. Yes, this is the time when all we need is a little push to get back on the right track. This push doesn’t come in the form of advice but definitely by the company of a loved one whom we cherish the most. After all, we look up to them. No wonder we know the fact that spending some time #together is sure to bring back the much needed optimism in us.

Here I shall share one such memorable day of my life where none other than my own wee little nephew, gave me the much needed positivity to look up in one of my struggling days

I’m a big girl in my late 20s known for being very brave and fierce. Yes, it is this expectation from people that doesn’t allow me to be weak even if I genuinely feel pathetic.

However, being a human I too have my own limitation, and this limitation showed up when I suffered a major loss in trading. Yes, those days I was on a spree on Intra-day trading and for consecutively three days I suffered an average loss of 5k per day. To your surprise, I had left my job and was thinking to earn some quick bucks through Intra-day trading by investing the money I got from my PF. I traded for 3 months where I won some, but lost mostly.

And finally the day of doom came when it was the third day of me losing a sum of 6k in a single trading, reducing my total sum of 15k from 25k in just three days. I had lost my mind, I had no clue what to do, nothing worked for me. Worst, I couldn’t even share my misery with my family as they would shout at me, especially my mother.

This is the same moment when my nephew gave me a surprise visit – Yes, he came to my house without any prior notice with his mom. He came like an angel to rescue me from my problem. Though, he had no idea about my concern, he did sense it, and tried to play with me like how we adults play with the children whenever we sense they are unhappy or disappointed.

Each of his words, and efforts pleased me to a great level – so much that, I not only forgot my pain, my loss, but had a better state of mind just because of his presence. For the entire evening, not even once I remembered the terrible monetary harm that I caused to myself.

Kids are great teachers and unknowingly they teach you very important lessons of life. That day, the innocence of my wee little nephew compelled me to question my decision on the choice that I had made – Was it really worth spending my time, energy, and money on something which only gives me tension, pressure and stress?

No wonder, it take me to stop Intra-day trading after that memorable rather learning session I had with my nephew. That’s how togetherness shows its trick – Whenever you are in despair, it is your loved ones who come to your rescue with their own tactics.

Nevertheless, being #together has its own advantages. After all our loved ones teach us to Look Up in Life – giving us the much needed housing of love and motivation we all deserve…

As they say, Life Is Better when you Look Up Together…
